The street painting festival is a program of the Kayenta Arts Foundation. Formed in February 2011 the Kayenta Arts Foundation is a Utah non-profit corporation with federal 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. The KAF mission is “to develop and create an environment that fosters diverse artistic endeavors for educational and enrichment purposes”. Directors on the KAF board help to facilitate and contribute much to the festival.
